someone just asked us a really good question
A friend is going on tour soon and they asked us what life is like on the road. here is our answer (off the top of our heads…)
truck stops, fast food, funny billboards, living with less, ever-changing gas prices, free beer, maybe free pizza, alot of pizza, internet cafes (panera has free wireless), coffee (gas stations NEVER have the good stuff), friendly people, not so friendly people, sunsets, sunrises, freedom, bad weather, beautiful weather, peace, chaos, good and evil, and experiences you will never forget.
In a Hotel…
Vedera-at Per Se in NYC
the noises of the city make me feel somewhat safe. all alone but yet a part of something.
not so important/important clothing matters.
This day has been a little chaotic. Tomorrow we are playing for an advertising agency and for a private dinner/party function thing in Manhattan. No matter how much time I have to prepare I always make sure I give myself only enough time to pack that will also allow me to come close to a nervous breakdown. I found out last minute (sorry I have to rely on the guy who lives up stairs for his internet connection and it's usually super slow) through email that the function we are playing tomorrow is at a super nice venue where we must dress up.
Well, I’m standing next to a mountain… Chop it down with the edge of my hand…. I’ll pick up the pieces and make an island… I might even arrange a little sand…. Lord knows I’m a Voodoo Child….
Well, I’m standing next to a mountain…
Chop it down with the edge of my hand….
I’ll pick up the pieces and make an island…
I might even arrange a little sand….
Lord knows I’m a Voodoo Child….
The Road Not Taken
This poem by Robert Frost means more to me every time I read it. More now than ever.
